Native Sisters
2015 Best of Show at the Coors Western Art Exhibit, Denver, CO. Three various tribes represented but share a common bond that represents sisterhood. Inspired by hide and ledger style work, the figures represent the southern plains, southeastern (Chickasaw) and northern plains. Hand painted faux elk "milk teeth" to symbolize the special significance or status a women or young lady had.
