Old Warrior, New Shirts
A diptych portraying the blending of old and new ways. Carrying on the old ways in the modern era of influences. For this particular painting; I reflected on a couple of the Oklahoma artists that influenced my early artistic aspirations: Jerome Tiger and Rance Hood. The whimsical Pokemon character coming-out of the ground is akin to the rabbits you would see in some of the "Oklahoma Styled" artworks.
